Packed with ideas, hints and tips, the series has proved to be much more than an easy way out for the painter in a hurry! The format has also proved not to be a straitjacket and allows each author to develop their ideas and express considerable individuality. The general idea is to encourage you to work quickly from life, to get the details of a scene recorded with a minimum of fuss and both these media are ideally suited to that premise.
