WATERCOLOUR TREES & WOODLANDS
Geoff Kersey

The Ready to Paint series from Search Press features a series of very detailed step-by-step demonstrations of five scenes for which pre-printed outlines are included that you can trace yourself to provide a prepared outline sketch. If that's all it was you'd be forgiven for thinking that we'd taken leave of our senses to include something like that at the level we believe you are. However, if I were to tell you that this is actually one of the best books on trees there has been you would, I hope, start beating a path to my door. Geoff is superb on the subject, including information on shapes, branch structure, bark, leaves and setting. He doesn't attempt tree portraits, which is unlikely to be what you want, but rather to show trees as they appear in the landscape, which you certainly do.
